Calendars have been marked for months, line-ups with favourite DJs hidden away in the ‘note’ section of your phone, hi-top sneakers chosen (because, clearly we’re in it to win it and comfort always wins) and all the glitter you can imagine is ready to be bedazzled all over your freshly sun kissed body. It’s mid May and the time has come to dance your way through Ibiza opening parties! 

Fresh off the heels of the IMS closing party last night on the top of Dalt Vila, we have many parties to look forward to in the upcoming weeks and months! We are spoilt for choice on the White Isle so we’ve gone ahead and narrowed it down to 5 opening parties you can’t miss while visiting Ibiza this summer!

  1. Amnesia Opening 

All hail the dance chapel, the church and the club known for its wild nights in the main room and even wilder mornings on the terrace. Amnesia kicks off its 43rd season tonight, Saturday May 27th with a line up of super star DJs that include Marco Carola, Claptone, Cuartero B2B Mar-T, Erick Morillo, Jack Master, Patrick Topping and more. The sound system is top notch, the crowd is glorious – you just have to make sure you make it to sunrise because thats when the real magic happens!

2. Ushuaïa Opening 

When it comes to production, heads sway to Ushuaia. The laser, sound, DJ curation and open air space put this super club in a league of its own! On Saturday May 27th the open air shell stage welcomes none other then Paul Kalkbrenner who is joined by a list of well known punters that include Eats Everything, Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace, Andrea Oliva and many more. Expect fire works, acrobatics, heavy bass lines and heaps of sunshine! An absolute must do!

3. Solomun + 1 Opening 

King Solomon returns to his Sunday night throne at the cherry topped nightclub Pacha, in the exclusive Marina Botafoch of Ibiza on Sunday May 28th, 2017. The King himself has invited some of the biggest names in music to grace the decks this summer and at the opening alongside Solomun will be none another then Mano Le Tough. Expect an incredible journey of hypnotic beats and groovy melodies as you are taken on a journey into music abyss!

4. HÏ Opening 

No doubt the most anticipated opening of the season, HÏ Ibiza is set to swing open its doors to the public (finally!) on Sunday May 28th, 2017. Will it bring back memories of the now historic Space? Will it resemble the iconic institution and fill its shoes? Or will it have gone through a complete overhaul, new vibe, new feel and new club? We will find out as legendary DJs Luciano, Black Coffee, Appolonia, Davide Squillace, Andrea Olivia among others bring the house down with their beats for the opening line up! If the club has anything to live up to, everyone knows this opening will be one for the books! We can’t wait to get in there!

5. PURE CARL COX  Opening 

Yes, after 27 years ruling Space in Playa d’en Bossa, Carl Cox has found another kingdom – in the form of Privilege! He has landed in the biggest nightclub in the world with his opening night called Pure Carl Cox on July 11, 2017! Although it’s not in the the ‘opening week’ of parties, because of its buzz worthy goodness it is in our top 5! The line ups are curated with only the biggest names in techno including Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Kerri Chandler, Cassy, Nicole Moudaber and so much more! With a lot of love being given to Privilege and with the history that Privilege has on the white isle – it’s going to be one of the best nights of the summer by far!
