It’s that time of year again when here at Deliciously Sorted we can feel the energy and excitement simmering on our island in anticipation of the forthcoming summer season and of course the famous “Ibiza opening parties.”

As the air starts to have a welcome touch of warmth to it, the skies become clear and shine a dazzling blue, restaurant and bar owners dust down their doors and the island starts to hum with the hustle and bustle of holidaymakers. Yes, it’s springtime in Ibiza and we are ready and waiting for the first parties to kick off the start to the season as the movers and shakers come together to celebrate in style. This year promises a considerable line up of opening parties to dip our toes into.

One such opening sure to give our dance shoes a fare weathering is brand new club concept Odyssey, not for the faint-hearted, you will require 24 hours of energy for this one! Odyssey is hosted by award-winning super clubs Ushuaïa and Hï, and for the first time ever these two clubs will join together to throw a 24 hour outdoor- indoor clubbing spectacular.

Next on our to do list is a table reservation at Pachas sensational cabaret restaurant Lío. Indulge in an evening of glitz and glamour as the fashion elite come together for a spectacular evening of food, showtime and dancing that this opening party promises to deliver. 

Also worth a “pop in” will be the Destino opening when legend Marco Carola will be sure to set the decks on fire as he delivers a chunky set of underground beats.

Solomun +1 at Pacha is also an absolute must as the icon himself returns for the second longest-running Pacha Ibiza residency. The three-time DJ award winner will take over each Sunday to serve up his famous classy melodies and uplifting grooves.

We absolutely cannot wait for the Ibiza 2019 summer season to begin!

Odyssey 24 Hour Opening Party

What’s the party? 

Odyssey 24 Hour Opening Party. 18th May. The team behind the award-winning Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, unveils Odyssey, a brand new concept, and the first time the Ibiza superclubs will come together to throw a 24-hour, outdoor-indoor extravaganza.  Guest DJ’s include Tale of Us, Stephan Bodzin (LIVE), Paul Kalkbrenner (LIVE), Peggy Gou, Denis Horvat, ANII, Reznik The Night League,

Why is it hot?  

World-class residents and state-of-the-art design and sound, the club has stayed true to the open-minded spirit of Ibiza, bringing together music lovers to dance, discover and experience the magic of the White Isle, thus new concept is the first time that Hii and Ushuaïa have officially connected for the opening party. 

Insider tips?  

Lavishly dine on sushi and sake in Ushuaïas Japanese restaurant “Minami” which is behind the club’s stage. You can be ready and full of energy to dance the day (and night) away!  Need to get away from the 24 hour madness?  Take a breather on the Hï roof terrace overlooking the garden. For a cosier escape, look out for the aztec tipis hidden in the outside VIP area. 

Lio Grand Opening Party

What’s the party? 

Lio Grand Opening Party. The Opening Party is under the guise of  ́La Fête Sauvage’ which promises to be a primal cabaret concept to tantalize the senses. 21st May

Why is it hot?  

David Morales. New York’s Grammy Award winning DJ and Producer, David Morales opens the decadent and mischievous club Lio. The house music icon will ensure an unforgettable evening paired with the all encompassing dining and cabaret experience set on the waters of the Ibiza marina.

Pacha Solomun +1

What’s the party? 

26th May Pacha Solomun +1, Opening Party. The undisputed king of Sundays in Ibiza takes on another season bringing the best in electronic music to the island.

Why is it hot?  

Solomun +1 returns for an impressive seventh year to Pacha Ibiza, with his dynamite formula and expertly crafted line-ups; showcasing his rounded knowledge of contemporary dance music. For the opening party, Solomun will be joined by DJ Koze After which, the Diynamic label boss and global house tastemaker plays his own solo set before finally going back to back with his guest.

Want an aerial of the big man himself? Head on upstairs to the balcony of the dance floor overlooking the whole club. 

Destino Opening Party

What’s the party? 

Destino Opening Party. Music On Daytime Party Marco Carola & Apollonia. 30th May. Destino ́s Opening Party is the first of a series of Day Events at Destino with the world-renowned Music On. 

Why is it hot?   

Marco Carola transforms every single club he plays into another worldly experience, capturing the essence of hedonism. For this first Music On at Destino, Marco will be joined by Apollonia, the French trio DJ crew comprised of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky. Without a doubt, dancing outdoors during a Thursday afternoon and overdoing it with artists so appreciated in the world of electronics, promises to be one of the most memorable days of the new season.

Reserve a poolside cabana and bask yourself in the sun. You can set yourself up for the night with a pick from their extravagant cocktail menu before the party begins.
